A Parka, a wool hat and a purse: i'm ready to go to the market ! (and to face the storm too, since we've had no winter - just a long long autumn )
This week it was all about dancing on raindrops (literally), cooking tarts (it's kind of an obsession these days), roasting vegetables and working on html code (just perfect) to improve this little virtual space - hope you'll like it! And always enjoy the soft light brightly flooding my flat on rainy days.

SHORTCRUST PASTRY

150g / 5oz plain flour
75g / 2oz soft butter
50g / 2oz caster sugar
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp milk
a pinch of salt

Sift the flour, the sugar and salt into a bowl. Rub the butter into the mixture with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add egg yolk and milk into the mixture to form a stiff dough. Knead lightly until it is smooth.
Let it rest in the fridge for at least two hours - one day is even better - before using.

French version of the recipe here.
